Applications sorted according to jurisdiction: As shown in the chart (above) itself, this is a histogram of the total number of application examined in each jurisdiction during the month of April 2025.
The above pie chart shows the types of applications that were considered. Interesting to see that NP and Ordinary are nearly the same.
The above image shows the distribution of sections under which the application was considered or a section / rule applied to the application when being examined. To create this chart, I did minimal cleaning of the data manually. Ideally this information when coming in from the patent office should be structured – provided in a same manner. However, there is a lot of variation: not all provide grant / refuse data. Sometimes, all that the column has is 15 or 43 or Section 15 / 43, Sec 43, etc. Hence all those were taken and clubbed together.
